Review and Swatches! Revlon Matte Balm & Lacquer Balm in Unapologetic and Coquette!

 Hello all!

I'm excited to show you all some swatches and give you my impressions of Revlon's New Colorburst Lacquer Balms, and Matte Balms.  I picked up Unapologetic (Matte) and Coquette (Balm)

These are new enough that they're not even up on the Revlon site yet! But I've seen them on various blogs, and if it popped up at my local Walgreens, then I know they must be out there (my store usually gets new products last).

My best friend Victoria over at The Unconventional Makeup Junkie is a nailophile.  She loves nail polishes, and I blame my recent spat of nail polish purchases all on her!  She posts on loads of different things ( I love her makeup meme mondays!), but she has this nail polish challenge going on where she wears a different polish every week.  I love seeing her posts..and dammit.  Its peer pressure!  (j/k.  I love her..but it has definitely influenced me..).

Hello all!  I purchased this a few weeks ago from Sephora (yes..about a week before the Sephora VIB sale).  I've been reaching for this a lot lately so I think its time I posted my review!

Urban Decay Naked 3 is Coming!

There is a Milani Shadow Eyez Collection out there..and I cant seem to find a name for it.  BUT it has a butt load of purples and a shimmery black and matte white.  I picked up a shimmer called Midnight Romance.  Its a really lovely deep purple. 

I'm not sure whats up with my swatch.  But this does NOT apply patchy.  Its super opaque, but it has GLITTER.  The tube even has glitter on it, and I wont lie..if I'd known, I probably would have passed.  They have satin's. shimmers and matte to choose from (*palms forehead*).  Glittter aside, the formula is to die for, and I'll probably whip this baby out around Christmas when it'll be impossible to avoid glitter.

So..the other day I wandered into CVS (intending on buying water and a few snacks for my sickie at home), and I ended up (I dont know how!) in the cosmetic section..where I came upon these displays!

As you all know already, I'm a fan of Jordana's new eyeshadow pencils.  I already have Continuous Almond, and Aqua Last.  I recently picked up Endless Emerald and its gorgous!  Check it out!

This has a small amount of glitter and despite my stance (hate glitter with a fiery burning passion), it doesnt bother me.  Its barely noticeable when its applied.  I never tried emerald eyeshadows,but I must say, I love how this looks on my brown eyes!  It doesnt last 12 hours , but does last around 8 , before it starts to fade, which is fine with me.  Its lovely and affordable!

Looky what I bought! Real Techniques Starter Set!

Soo..  The other day I had a 20% off coupon at Ulta.  I decided that my brush collection needed more eye brushes (gotta have at least 2 of everything right? ) so I picked up the Real Techniques Starter Set , which is a collection of eye brushes. Real Techniques is the most amazing inexpensive brand.  You dont have to be an expert to use these brushes.  They're so good..even a makeup noobie can do it.  Brushes are important.  You dont need expensive ones, but they should be good quality.  Real Techniques is inexpensive and excellent quality.

I have a few thoughts on this set.  First..round of applause that there's no lash/brow groomer!  *Applause*  I always felt like that including one of those was a cop out.  Yes, brow groomers are usefull, but we have like a hundred..give us some brushes we'll use!  

And this set has!

*I'm kind of intrigued by the eyeliner brush, and brow brush.  For one, the eyeliner brush looks super difficult to use, but I cant wait to try (because I'm sure once I get the hang of it..it'll be awesome).  Also, the brow brush can definiely double as an eyeliner brush.  I will say though that the brow brush is thicker then a traditional slanted eyeliner brush.

*The accent brush says it can be used to the inner corner of the eye, smudging, lip products..etc.  Pretty cool but I'm not sure how much I'll use this.

*The crease brush and shadow brush I'm most excited to use!  The crease brush is huge and fluffy.  We'll have to see how it actually performs.  

* The case is included, and as much as I hate to admit it, I kind of love the case. It'll be great to use when traveling!

Has anyone used these brushes? Thoughts?

On to the swatches!  On pictures.  Left nail has one coat/right nail has 3 coats.  No top coat.

I'm not gonna hate too much on these polishes (espeically Silver Rainbows because thats right up my daughters alley), but who at Sinful names these things?  Gold Tinsel.  Yes.  But the red and green is called "Holiday Rebel?"  Not so much .  How about Pointsetta?  Thats green and red? and Silver Rainbows..um..no.  Not for something thats purple/magenta/gree.  All that being said, these polishes were nice.  I liked the consistancy, and they werent too hard to work with.  

I hope all these swatches have helped you decide which polish to pick up!  These are sold at Walgreens, and are only 1.99!
