Review! New Physicians Formula PH Matchmaker Blush in Natural *Picture Heavy*

Hello! Its time for another blush review..I know I know..you're all tired of blushes..I swear..I have some eyeshadow reviews coming up:)  Until then, sit tight and enjoy the Physicians Formula ride. Also, the majority of the photos are at the end of the review!

Today's blush review is on Physicians Formula new PH Matchmaker Blush in Natural.  I have to admit, I was intrigued from the moment I heard about this, however, I did wait until it went on sale to buy it.  I've been searching for my perfect blush shade, and I figured..hey! why not let this blush do it for me?

Here's what Physicians Formula claims:  " *Fluorescein Based Dye-senses the pH level of your skin & adjusts within 60 seconds to create your perfect blushing glow. *Photochronic Powders-light adjusting pigments adapt to your environment so color looks the same indoors & outside"  (from physicians formula website).

It adjusts within 60 seconds to my perfect shade eh? AND the light adjusting pigments make it so the blush looks the same indoors and outdoors? No. Freakin. Way.  Yes..I sound skeptical.  I'm sorry..but this blush must be magical or something right?  The only thing I've ever seen adjust to outside light was my dads glasses that turned dark in the sun and light indoors..and even then that started to stop working (so that it was always dark..hahaha).  Anyway..on to my experience with the blush.

Packaging: Doesn't the outside look so pretty?  It totally does.  Too bad the inside is a pain in the arse.  The outside is black and pink and the inside houses the blush.  However, underneath (as is the PF way..) the blush lifts up to reveal a brush.  This brush actually isnt too bad.  However, whenever you open the blush compact the blush pops up.  I've opened and closed this thing probably 50x and the blush always pops up!   A cool feature however is the lighted LED's in the mirror portion.  Pretty snazzy.

Consistency:  The blush itself is super powdery and soft.  I actually really like how soft the blush is.

Color/Performance: The color is a medium pink.  Thats the only way I know how to describe it.  Does it change color according to my PH? Honestly..no.  I've used this lightly (and when I did..I loved it), and with 2/3 swipes of my blush brush.  When I used more then one swipe of my brush (as is the way I normally apply blush), the color went on much more heavily.  Its definitely a pigmented blush..no doubt about that..however did is change color according to my PH and find my "perfect shade"?  No.  Not unless my perfect shade is the color my cheeks turn when its sun or wind burned.  It is possible I over applied, however I've used this blush at least 5x, and I got the same result.  Applied lightly , I like the color.  Applied a little more heavily, I enter clown city.  The blush also claims (and I forgot to mention above) that its supposed to have 14 hr wear.  14hrs? No. Six hours?  Yes.  Thats not too bad , considering I've used blushes that have lasted considerably less.

The silver dots you see above are just an overspray, and also, there is some small bits of glitter, but no so much that you can truly notice.  You have to look at the pan to actually see it.

Overall:  Honestly, not really a fan.  If you choose to buy this blush, buy it because you love the color in the pan, not for any of Physicians Formula's claims. While this blush isn't for me, I know it'll be good for others that love a super pigmented pink blush.  I'm just a bit disappointed it didn't change color (one could hope!), and that the color came off super heavy on me.

More Pictures Below!

(ignore my goosebumps..the room I took the pic in was cold..)

All opinions are my own, and I bought this myself..

  2. hey a suggestion use this blush when its a lil hot so that the blush changes colour due to the heat.. i have read reviews and one said the colour change is not due to ph level but the heat
