My Very First Nail of the Day Post!!-Sally Hansen Magnetic Nail Color in Ionic Indigo

Welcome to my very first Nail of the Day post!!  *And the crowd goes wild...wahhhhh!* Thank you..thank you..I know its been long awaited.  I'm excited for this, since its also going to be a review of sorts, since its on the new Sally Hansen Magnetic nail polish. Of all the nail trends out there (crackle, nail polish strips, etc..), Magnetic polish appeals to me in a way the others dont.  Secretly I love that it employs the tiniest bit of science (put something metal in a polish and use a magnet..metal is magnetic..voila! Design!).  I also love light and the dark together on nails.

But enough of that!  Todays Nail of the Day is Sally Hansen Magnetic Polish in Ionic Indigo!

Let me start off by saying that I DID NOT follow the directions on the Sally Hansen website.  The site says this "STEP 1: Apply 1 coat of base coat. Shake Magnetic Nail Color to activate. Remove overcap with magnet and set aside. Apply 1 coat of Magnetic Nail Color to all 10 nails and let dry. STEP 2: Apply a thick second coat of color to 1 nail and immediately hold the built-in magnet over the nail. Rest the guide just below the cuticle without touching the wet nail polish. Hold for 10 seconds. Repeat for all 10 nails and let dry. Finish with top coat." (copied from Sally Hansen website).

Heres what I did: (I did ONE NAIL AT A TIME).
*The reason I did one nail at a time was so that the polish would be wet when I put the magnet over it*

Step 1: Apply 1 coat of polish to nail. Let sit for about 20sec.
Step 2: Apply 2nd coat of polish (to same nail), then hover magnet over.
Step 3: Move on to next nail , following steps 1 and 2.

I'm not sure if my nails would come out differently by following the directions on the website, but either way I'm extremely happy with the way my nails came out.  As an added bonus if you cant get the hang of the magnet, the color alone is gorgeous, and is a one coater.

These retail for 9.99 at drugstores, and I'd love to pick up every single color since it worked so well!

*P.S- My cousin (lets call her SirenK), has this in the fuschia pink shade (Red-y Response), and said she had the same success*

*UPDATE*
My friend SirenV bought Red-y Response, and loved it! She was kind enough to take a pic to share with my readers:)
